Digital signatures: Tendency in the near future in the pharmaceutical industry of Puerto Rico

Abstract

"This thesis is related to the future tendencies of the Electronic/Digital Signatures. Electronic/ Digital signatures, as a solution for a paperless environment within a company, has it advantages and disadvantages. Within this research we analyze the existing alternatives available in the market to anticipate the future use of Electronic/ Digital Signatures in the work environment. Our objective is achieved through an evaluation of current technology and cost/benefits analysis of the implementation of these technologies, versus continuing in the paper-based environment. The results obtained from this research anticipates that a very small -but incrementing- percent of companies will be using or will be evaluating alternatives in the use of Electronic/ Digital signature technology for all their business activities."--Página de Resumen
